  • South Devon NADFAS launched its latest church trail at St. Andrews church in the Devon village of Buckland Monachorum which has many associations with the Drake family. The launch was attended by the Mayor of West Devon , Councillor David Cloke, the vicar Graham Cotter, and children from the local primary school. The trail was presented to the church by Dr Michael Inman, Chairman of South Devon DFAS. The children tackled the questions with enthusiasm and discovered interesting new facts about their church. The roof over the knave of the church is notable for its sixteen carved oak figures of angels who are each playing a different instrument. This angel orchestra was the subject of much debate as the children were asked to choose the instrument they liked best!
